Ventura Trindade Arquitectos held a conference in the Università degli Studi di Firenze, Dipartamento di Architettura, presenting several projects which are in the construction phase in Lisbon.
The conference was held at the Plesso Santa Teresa, curated by Michelangelo Pivetta and Vanni Renzini.
The building is located on the intermediate platform to the east of the Ecoparque and takes advantage of the existing unevenness to fully integrate into the topography and landscape, through the definition of a landscaped roof that extends the existing slope. The different sections of the program are arranged separately in three bodies, the medical and nursing station; the refectory/pantry and space for the future kitchen; and the changing rooms, sanitary facilities and uniform distribution area.

VASSCO ACE (Ventura Trindade Arquitectos + Site Specific lda. + PLCO arquitecto) won the international competition for the BIBLIOTHEQUE DE GENEVE (Geneve Library) in 2023. The project comprehends the renovation and expansion of the Geneva library, in Parc des Bastions, a project costing 130 million Swiss francs (around 134 million euros), which should start in 2027 and is scheduled for completion in 2034. The total gross floor area is around 30.000 sqm.
The project comprises two very different interventions: in the backyard, a ground floor construction, with landscaped roofs with a thickness of more than 1m of vegetable land, organized around two patios that allow direct sunlight and adequate ventilation; in the main building, which faces Rua Marcos Portugal, a restoration and rehabilitation of the existing building, which has a certain architectural quality and heritage value.
